Through this scholarship, we hope to continue his legacy to "Make Dreams Come True" with an annual academic scholarship in his name, awarded to a college bound student who has gained experience with Opera House Theatre Company in any way. ie.: Performer, Director, Choreographer, Designer, Costumer, Lights, Sound, Stage Manager, Volunteer, etc.

Pursuing a Theatre Arts education is not a requirement.

Other fields of study at an institution of higher learning will be accepted.

Application Criteria

 

Applicants must be a current high school senior intending to enroll in college/university/tech school in the fall of 2024 or spring 2025. The student must also have experience with Opera House Theatre Company

(ie.: Apprentice Program, Performers, Directors, Choreographers, Designers, Costumes, Lights, Sound, Stage Managers etc.)

Application Submission Requirements:

​

Names of 1 or 2 OHTC Directors for personal recommendations

Resume outlining related experience

 2 teacher recommendations from High School attending: Can be a mentor/director/teacher/guidance counselor

High School transcript

An essay (400 to 600 words) written by the applicant outlining how involvement in the arts and experience with OHTC, will assist them in the future with academic and career goals.

 

The scholarship application period is open October 2023  through May 2024.
