Apprentice Theatre Program
Opera House Theatre Company produces one to two shows every year specifically for teens & young adults (ages 14-24) that focus on building skills both onstage and behind the scenes with intensive 2-3 week training & rehearsal sessions. These shows will be cast, crewed, & creatively designed by young artists! We will also be featuring a directing workshop this season for young artists who wish to increase their experiences with directing, as well as our OHTC Apprentice/Mentor Program.
2024 APPRENTICE SHOW, HEATHERS, on the main stage of Thalian Hall - August 1 - August 4
$30 tickets on sale in November from the THCPA box office. Season ticket holders & Patrons may add tickets to HEATHERS to their season ticket form & request to keep their VIP seats.

Mentor / Apprenticeship Program
Recognizing our past, present and future artists, while supporting the arts in our community through education, innovation and collaboration.
With support from the Landfall Foundation, Opera House is investing in our community’s future by offering Mentor / Apprenticeships with training in all disciplines of theatre such as: business, performance & technical theatre. Throughout this program, you will work with one of the OHTC Creative Team Artists, your personal mentor + Mentor / Apprenticeship teams as a whole, as you develop & design for actual productions, giving you real world hands-on experience in theatrical arts. This, along with the other training provided by the program will serve as an early step into a design career for you. Potentially creating internships & career paths with OHTC & the broader theatre world.
