Course Description:
This class is designed to help intermediate to advanced level actors deepen your acting practice through the dedicated rehearsal of scenes. The course will emphasize relationship building, story-telling, and developing a strong sense of presence as a performer. You will also learn how to work and collaborate with a director. There is an expectation of rehearsal time outside of class time.
Meet Your Instructors
Morganna Bridgers
Morganna is a dedicated actor’s director, devoted to building connection, relationship, and story-telling. She has been a part of the Wilmington theatre community for 20 years. She graduated from UNCW with her BA in Theatre and has studied and worked in theatre, film, and television from NYC to New Orleans and Atlanta, and back again to her home in Wilmington.
Morganna has enjoyed a full and varied career, her favorites include theatre: Always, Patsy Cline (Louise), Chicago (Roxie), and Come From Away (Bonnie); Film/TV: The Conjuring (New Line Cinema), The Baker and the Beauty (ABC), The Devil all the Time (Netflix).
She made her directorial debut with OHTC Apprentice Program’s Spring Awakening, followed by Assistant Director on The Prom (OHTC), and most recently, Rock of Ages (OHTC).
Kaleb Edley
Kaleb Edward Edley is an award winning actor, writer, director, and educator based in North Carolina. He holds a Master’s Degree in Acting from the University of South Carolina, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Acting from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Kaleb has performed with a variety of professional companies, including The Texas Shakespeare Festival, Theatre South Carolina, P3/East, and Opera House Theatre Company. His on-camera work includes commercial appearances for major brands such as Fortnite, ESPN, and AvidXchange. Dedicated to storytelling across stage and screen, Kaleb brings depth, versatility, and a collaborative spirit to every project he takes on.
In addition to his work as a performer, Kaleb has taught acting at the University of North Carolina Wilmington since 2022 and previously taught at the University of South Carolina.
